Volleyball Takes Down Ave Maria in Four Sets

Lakeland, Fla. – The Southeastern University volleyball team opened up a big Sun Conference weekend by beating Ave Maria University by scores of 25-15, 25-15, 21-25, and 25-13.
The Fire opened up play with plenty of energy and it showed as they hit at an excellent .339 kill percentage. Led by Allison Lewen’s 20 kills, the Fire knocked down 58 total kills on the offensive end.
Christi Limpert was also in double figures with 11 kills while Tara McSherley dished out 51 assists. On the defensive end, Lewen added 11 digs while Katie Trenski dug out 14 balls and Ruthie Glover dug out 10.
The Fire are back at it in the Sportsplex on Saturday when they host Northwood University at 2 p.m.
