Volleyball Falls to Florida College

Lakeland, Fla. – The Southeastern University volleyball team fell to Florida College by scores of 25-23, 17-25, 11-25, and 19-25 on Tuesday night.
After trailing for much of the first set, the Fire rallied late to take the opener. After that, however, the Falcons began to take control of the match and took the next three sets thanks to 62 kills compared to only 30 from the Fire.
Nicolette Sawicki led Southeastern with 11 kills while Mallorie Parsons dished out 23 assists. Katie Trenski had 18 digs followed closely by Laura Ackhart with 12 and Sawicki and Allison Lewen with 10 each.
The Fire now begin a tough stretch of seven consecutive Sun Conference matches starting on Friday with a trip to Babson Park to take on Webber International at 7 p.m.
