North Miami, Fla.- Southeastern women's soccer took on Johnson & Wales on Saturday afternoon and won the game by a final of 2-0.
The Fire came out late in the first half to get the scoring going, Jessica Crowe received a pass from Alisha Espinosa and was able to get behind the defense to put the ball past the goalie and give the Fire a 1-0 lead. Southeastern defense held the lead the rest of the half to keep the game at 1-0.
The second half got off to a quick start as forward Jessica Crowe struck again, however, it only took her 11 minutes this time around. Crowe was able to wiggle in behind the defense and take the pass from Shelby Wells which gave her a free look at the net and she did not miss.
Southeastern defense and goalie Lisa Jadick combined together to give the Fire their fourth shutout of the season. Jadick was spectacular in goal as she turned away ten shots to preserve the shutout.
