Cross Country Runs in Asics Classic

The Southeastern University men’s and women’s cross country teams ran in the Asics Classic, hosted by Embry-Riddle University on Saturday morning and came away eighth place and ninth place finishes respectively.
The top finisher on the men’s side was Kyler Kathman (20th) with a time of 29:03.82 while the top finisher on the women’s side was Bethany Jones (54th) with a time of 22:44.20.
“The men’s team showed today that all their hard work and miles are beginning to pay off,” said Head Coach Paul Kurtz. “Everyone on the team improved their time from last weekend on another challenging course. Kyler had a solid race and the team had its best finish place of the season.”
“It was also so nice to see our ladies running as packs today,” added Kurtz. “I know it really helped them to run a lot of season’s best and PR’s! I am so proud of both of these teams and the standards they are setting for SEU cross country.”
Both teams will be back in action again on October 5 as they compete in the Florida State University Invitational from Tallahassee, Fla.
