Davis Next to Sign with Fire

Fire Head Coach Steve Phelps with new signee Alden Davis
LAKELAND--The Southeastern men's golf program added another solid signee, Monday afternoon, when Alden Davis committed to Fire Head Coach Steve Phelps in the SEU Sportsplex. Davis joins recent committ, Kyle Martin, who signed with the Fire earlier this month, and the tandem are expected to immediately contribute this upcoming season.
Davis was the 2011 Premier Junior Tour's Golfer of the Year, while taking home Golfer of the Year honors on the Gainesville Junior Tour in 2010.
He was a four year player at Chiefland High School, in Chiefland, Fla., where he was team captain and the team's lowest medalist four straight seasons. He also finished his high school career by winning his district championship.
He is the son of Alden and Miriam Davis, and plans to study business management at Southeastern.
