10 Players Added to Academic All-Conference Team

SEU Well Represented on Spring All-Academic Team

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla.--Southeastern University added 10 players to The Sun Conference's All-Academic team this week, as the spring sports addition was recently announced by the conference which includes the sports of baseball, softball, men's tennis, women's tennis, men's golf, women's golf, and men's and women's track & field.
Southeastern had the most representatives of any school within the conference for baseball with seven players being named; Brandon DeRespiris, Daniel Mims, Kevin Kunnen, Armando Alvarez, Bryan Sparrow, Corey Turner, and Phillip Kish all were honored for their hard work in the classroom this year. Alvarez is now a three time Academic All-Conference member, while DeRespiris and Mims have been named to the list the past two years.
Men's golf had two players represented with Matthew Jenkinson and Isaac Spencer. Spencer is a three time Academic All-Conference member, and was recently honored at the SEU Fire Awards as the athletic department's Academic Athlete of the Year, along with women's basketball player MacKenzie Messenger.
Wendy Reade was the lone player for women's tennis to make this year's list.
