Ocoee High School Star Commits to Fire
Fire Head Coach Drew Stacey with Adam Peters at Ocoee High School.
LAKELAND--Ocoee High School standout goal keeper, Adam Peters, recently signed his letter of intent to play his collegiate soccer at Southeastern University.
Peters was a four year varsity player for the Knights, including the program's starting goal keeper the past two seasons. As a junior, he finished the year with a 1.09 goals against average, while compiling eight shutouts, leading the Knights to the Regional Quarter Finals.
During his senior campaign, he led the Knights to a 14-6 record, while ending the year with a 1.05 GAA and nine shutouts. For his tremendous play, Peters was selected to play in the Central Florida All-Star game.
Peters also played club soccer for Florida Soccer Alliance in the Region 3 Premier League while also playing for Florida Rush.
He is the son of Doug and Shawn Peters, and decided on Southeastern because of the school's location, size, and the feel for the team on his recruiting trip earlier this year.
Peters joins Christian Bores and Ashton Hicks as the first three players signed in SEU's 2012 recruiting class.
